1. The service

filxo provides a platform that allows users to create file requests and collect files through shared links.

filxo acts only as a service provider and does not act as a data controller for user content.

2. Eligibility

To create an account and use filxo as a request creator, you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement.

Recipients who upload files via shared links do not need to be at least 18 years old.

3. Accounts

To create and manage file requests, you may need to create an account.

You are responsible for:

• keeping your account information accurate
• maintaining the security of your login credentials
• all activity that occurs under your account

4. File requests and uploads

Request creators

When you create a file request, you are responsible for:

• defining what files are requested
• choosing recipients and access settings
• managing expiry and downloads

Uploaders

When you upload files, you confirm that:

• you have the right to upload the files
• the files do not violate any laws or third-party rights

5. User content

You retain ownership of all files and content you upload.

By using filxo, you grant filxo a limited license to store, process, and transmit your files only to provide the service.

filxo does not:

• access or review uploaded files
• use uploaded files for analytics, training, or marketing
• claim ownership over your content

Files may be automatically deleted after a request expires or based on system retention policies.

6. Prohibited use

You agree not to use filxo to:

• upload illegal or harmful content
• infringe intellectual property rights
• distribute malware or malicious files
• attempt unauthorized access to the service
• interfere with the integrity or performance of the service

We reserve the right to restrict or suspend access if these Terms are violated.

7. Security and availability

We take reasonable measures to protect the service and user data, including encryption and access controls.

However, filxo is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

8. Data handling and privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.

By using filxo, you acknowledge that your data will be processed in accordance with that policy.

9. Third-party services

filxo may rely on third-party services such as cloud storage and email providers to operate the service.

We are not responsible for the independent actions or policies of these providers.

10. Termination

You may stop using filxo at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if:

• these Terms are violated
• required by law
• necessary to protect the service or other users

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, filxo is not liable for:

• loss of data
• loss of business or profits
• indirect, incidental, or consequential damages

Your use of the service is at your own risk.

To the extent permitted by law, filxo's total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.

12. Intellectual property

The filxo service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by filxo and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

You retain all ownership rights to content you upload. By uploading content, you grant filxo a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and transmit that content solely to provide the service.

13. Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, you may also have rights under the laws of your country of residence, which cannot be excluded by these Terms.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of filxo will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.

14. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

If changes are made, the updated date will be shown at the top of this page. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For material changes, we will provide reasonable notice as required by applicable law.
